You’re part of a group project for a class, and everyone has been assigned specific tasks to complete by the deadline. As the deadline approaches, you notice that one of your group members, let’s call him Alex, hasn’t completed their assigned task. You’ve already completed your portion of the project and are concerned about the overall quality and timely completion of the project. Feeling frustrated, you decide to complete Alex’s portion of the work without consulting them or informing the rest of the group.

When the project is submitted, Alex finds out that you completed their task without their input. They express disappointment, feeling like you didn’t trust them to complete their work and that you undermined their contribution to the project.
